It came with a light citrus vinaigrette, which had great flavor but could be a bit thicker to cling to the greens a bit better.We came here for our anniversary dinner. I had a salmon blt with a great pesto sauce, wife had salad with salmon also very good, her wine was great my beer was a bit flat as was another beer that day in another location. I ate the food so fast that I forgot to take pics.Amazing as always. But, I never pass up the opportunity to try a new pizza spot! They also gave us a special dessert wine for our dessert which was a sweet touch for our anniversary.Such a treat having dinner here! We had four dinners in Newport and this was by far our best. The Mooring Seafood Kitchen & Bar seemed to fit the bill nicely, residing within the 13-acre boat show, offering waterfront views, and providing a four-star Yelp Ranking.

I would have liked the traditional vinaigrette but this had a ranch dressing. They also seemed to be serious about safety precautions, which I very much appreciated!Right up front we knew they we serious. Felt comfortable during covid. For a restaurant that is considered fine dining I was left disappointed. Clearly there were spots available. You will not be disappointed! While attempting to park, we were told that we could not park and the lot was full. Poorly trained hostess, rude bartender, and inept manager. More importantly, I'm glad you enjoyed the food and that you were able to taste both chowders. We were immediately greeted and seated by the hostess. For entrees, he chose the pan-seared scallops over creamy polenta which he said was excellent.

The chowder, doughnuts and scallops are EVERYTHING. But this shouldn't be used as an excuse.

We were pleased they seated us on the deck by the water. Without a reservation we were still able to get a wide open window seat with a wonderful breeze. Glad you enjoyed your chowder and all the bites you tasted. Tuna appetizer was amazing as was the seafood ravioli (which I wish I had ordered. Those are usually a fan favorite. There was a great view of the water right next to Bowens and Bannister's wharfs. Very unique and delicious. Our food was superb as was the service. The restaurant gets a 3 for food and a 2 for its service. Overall impressions? It was all delicious. Any idea what it entails?Hi all I can tell you is the bar gets pretty well jammed. Even in Covid time, the service and food were excellent. Nice atmosphere. We got the clam chowder and bag of donuts as that seem to be very popular amongst guests. Fried calamari was tender and not chewy at all, it came fried with spicy peppers!
