I highly recommend this stephoscope On Littman's website, they addressed this concerned w/ the lightweight model:Could hardly hear anything with this stethoscope, which was very disappointing considering this is a Littman product.

With so many cheapo stethoscopes on the market I was unsure whether to commit but so glad I did, this sounds nice and loud and has a noise cancelling quality- also fits nicely under a blood pressure cuff. Look else where or buy a fetal doppler if you are looking to hear the babies heartbeat.
