What a perfectly lovely, feel good film.

It certainly did meet with my expectations, I could watch this over and over again.

This movie shows that retired age means one should still live life to the fullest.

Perhaps one of the last films Jack Lemmon made. I enjoyed it.

This movie reminds me of myself and a man who was one of my closest friends I ever had. This is an intelligent, enriching film, with good natured humour and sensitive observations about youth, age, family communication and quality of life.

Also, friendship knows no age limits and it can easily bridge a gap that is generations long. This TV drama is enjoyable because of the presence of 2 actors who have since left us: Jack Lemmon and Betty Garrett. A wonderful, touching adventure that teaches about what is important in life and the value of independence for older adults. The friend of mine I mentioned was 82 years old when he passed away, and in the years before his death, he and I forged a friendship not unlike this one. This movie tells the tale of a retired man setting off on a journey, cross country, to meet up with a woman he had wanted to marry over 50 years before. Jack Lemmon is a wonderful screen presence, and the beautiful Sarah Paulson is well cast as his bright young companion.

Based on journalist Martha Raddatz's same-named best-seller, "The Long Road Home" dramatizes the heroism on the front lines of the Iraq War. Seeing them together for the last time since the musical version of "My Sister Eileen" was enjoyable.

Although a made for TV drama, the storyline isn't predictable.

Along the way he meets a young woman, decades younger than him, and the two form a lifelong friendship. I agree with the other reviewers. I only wish he was still alive today.
