A complete kitchen is available. It was excellent and very clean, TV and all amenities. A great morning thats relaxing and easy. I use to love walking the beach here tossing lures for flathead when the conditions weren't right for the boat.

We have 4wd access from the park onto the beach for boat launching, fishing and crabbing. The park consists of 5 acres of tropical grounds with park sites and cabins set amongst coconut palms and hibiscus hedges. Alva is also the closest point to the world-famous SS Yongala wreck. We had just one night in those comfortable cabins, but it was very lovely. A few good runs on a lightly set drag and she was pulled ashore. No boat to clean and a good feed of fish for the wife and kids for dinner. Ranked as one of the top ten dive sites in the world. The current moonphase is a New Moon and 3 percent of the moon is visible. Amenities very clean & barbeque/ camp kitchen area large and well equipped. We were allowed to pick our own site. Run by a legend of a bloke and his lovely wife, would definitely recommend to anyone in the areaWe needed somewhere close to the Yongala Dive Centre with a powered and unpowered site. Highly recommended.They advertise friendly service, which is an understatement!
In all we took home a feed of 4 solid fish and had released several smaller ones. There is a lovely swimming pool but it was a little too cold in September for me to swim.One of our favorite sites, especially when it’s a quiet time of year.

But the electric on the tinnie has been our of action for a couple of weeks now, and I have not had a line in the water at all in that time. The owner was the nicest on our whole trip through Australia. Close to Yongala if you want to go there. Guessing around 50cm it went in the eski for keeps.I still hadn't had a touch, but it wasn't too long of a wait when a solid fish took the plastic.
