The Richmond refinery, El Primero, was soon joined by El Segundo, the company’sAround here, old habits die hard. I have found that I am not really missing social events as I can attend the events at any of the other schools in my districts, and have found a very close knit niche of friends to spend my days with. The atmosphere on campus is so welcoming and safe that Peninsula is truly my second home.
As a senior, I visit our College Center almost daily, sometimes just to say hi to our College Counselors who know us all by name, ask about our families, and take time out of their busy schedules to provide support to us. The most important thing is to take advantage of the AP courses, which is where you will find the best teachers, opportunities and develop life long skills as a scholar.Overall my experience at West Ranch High School over the course of four years has been satisfactory. As a student, you are given the flexibility to get ahead or catch up if you are behind your classes. As a person who has anxiety, high school was something unfamiliar. So, for the most part, are the awful chemical and waste smells that used to float over El Segundo.As for the airport noise that plagues the town, longtime residents say they have learned to tune out the roar of jets taking off from LAX.

These clubs can not only greatly help my college application, but also make me able to develop my extracurricular interests. Because this school is so academically competitive, incoming students should expect an ample amount of stress, and sometimes, a lack of support in to manage this stress.

We had to rent our own auditorium for Soon-Shiong’s town hall meeting.Everyone I spoke to on Sunday in El Segundo said they are looking forward to welcoming the Los Angeles Times, which is expected to occupy a building next to the 105 Freeway just south of LAX, near Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and Boeing, all symbols of the modern jet age.Yet there is no company that defines El Segundo quite like the energy giant Chevron. I had heard such great things (high prospects, amazing teachers, high achievers), but also many negative things (no sports, no social lives, too much work) about this school. We recommended Acoustic treatment to improve the overall sound of the theater. Overall, great experience and amazing 4 years spent at this school.Amazing School!

During quarantine, I found that teachers and staff remained dedicated to making sure the student body, especially the senior class finished the school year with the best understanding of the curriculum they could provide given the circumstances. Granada is a very friendly, academically strong school that also has some pretty good sports teams as well.

The algebra 2 teachers isn’t the best but the other teachers are great! The school provides detailed curriculum, with teachers who are well educated and passionate about their classes.

The mental health department is the school's weakest point, in my opinion.Santa Monica High School provided me with opportunities I orignally did not have access to back home in the South. This being said, La Canada High sometimes struggles to motivate students who have difficulty learning and require a more personalized approach.
