Our server seemed to have a pace that was more fast food than leisurely Sunday dinner - she seemed to be pushing us through slightly and definitely did not seem happy to be there. I always leave The Grape Leaf full and with leftovers.
The one thing that saved this from a two-star review was the fact that my wife and I shared the kebab entree and they graciously split the single entree between two plates for us and - I think - gave us full portion of the side carbs and veggies each. I have dined in at the Grape Leaf many times, always satisfactory, especially the lamb stew, lentil soup, and roast lamb.I arrived first out of our group and grabbed a table. Stopped in on a quiet Sunday night and ordered stuffed grape leaves, chicken kebab and baklava. I called , was put on hold, then disconnected which also happened the last time I ordered from Grape Leaf. Fresh fruit smoothie blended with orange, mango, apple, banana, strawberry three lebanese bulgar wheat beef croquettes, stuffed with lamb, onions, walnuts, served with tzatziki sauce. I had the chicken sumac and it was incredible - so flavorful and interesting (I had never used or had sumac before) that I had to stop myself from overeating and finishing the entire plate in 1 sitting. Funny. We ordered right at dinner time and the wait was only 20 minutes! We welcome you to our restaurant and wish you a hearty appetite! I love love love their hummus! Elite '2020. Party of 18 and the gentleman at the front desk let us know right away they were a bit short staffed but would get us a table and service right away. This time, about 1:00 Sunday afternoon, the buffet was well stocked. I love chickpeas, spinach, eggplant, olive oil, pita bread, spices - and The Grape Leaf has got it. Most everything was $13 or more. From the moment we were seated, I knew, that at the very least we were in for good service. The Grape Leaf has moved down and possibly off my carryout restaurants . For any entree over ten dollars, I expect a much higher quality. It was larger than I expected and the roses were perfect!

I've only ever gotten the gyros but they're always freshly made, generously portioned, and well seasoned. The texture was delightful, it was flakey and buttery from the philo dough. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol. with fresh tomato and melted mozzarella. Also they make a great salad (it's not just a bowl of iceberg lettuce like some places will give you). A very generous touch.
