David Lind, 63, of Alvarado, MN, died on Saturday, May 16, 2020, in his home surrounded by his family

David John was born on September 29, 1956, in Grand Forks, ND, to Ordean and Ann (Kozel) Lind.

He was known to many as “Luigi” and was fine if you only knew him by his nickname.

In later years he worked in construction and helped his mother prior to her death.

He was a graduate of Indiana University. Sept. 29, 1956 - May 16, 2020. You will be missed my friend until we meet again RIP.I've heard it said that a person is blessed if he or she can count on one hand the number of true friends they have had in a lifetime. He was raised in Alvarado and started working on the family farm “as soon as his feet could reach the pedals,” He graduated from Alvarado High School in 1974 and went out to make his way in the world. He was part of a five-man team that made the first ascent of Forbidden Peak in the North Cascades in 1940.
Mr. Lind was born September 22, 1940, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Chester O. and Mary Ethel Troutman Lind. He is survived by his wife Christie Lind, daughter Kate-Lynn Lind, sister Karen Rugen (David), niece Lindsey Rugen, nephew Alex Rugen, aunts Bernice Kade and Beverly Roberts (Larry) and many loving cousins.
