I do not know if the Gold Edition contains those extra "campaigns," though. Also, I do know that the game itself is well known as the hopeful revival of the series before rome 2, but i have never heard of its modding community. Well, I am not sure about this, but Amazon.com (I live in the U.S., by the way) says that Shogun: Total War: Warlord Edition contains the same games that the Gold Edition has, but the Warlord Edition also contains the "Campaigns of the Three Unifiers."
