Very annoying. One thought is that maybe the eshop isn't ready for release in HK yet? The Nintendo eShop will launch in Hong Kong on April 3rd and Nintendo Hong Kong has revealed the full list of titles that gamers will be able to download once the service launches next month.

Hi, I've recently purchased a Switch in Hong Kong (where I live) and got many issues trying to setup the eShop... During setup, I chose English as my language and "The Americas" as my region (other options being "Japan", "Europe" and "Australia / New Zealand", so not a single one matching my location) I started the eShop which first prompted me to create a Nintendo account I created this account by specifying "Hong Kong" as my place of residence I registered this new account in the eShop but then got told that my language wasn't supported in that region I went back to the Switch System Settings and changed the language to "Traditional Chinese / English" Back to the eShop, everything is displayed in Chinese with no option to switch to English, and it seems that the only option I have is to enter some 16-character coupon code So my question is: how should I setup my Switch and Nintendo account so that I can access (and use) the eShop in English?Same problem here, bro.

Your browser either does not have JavaScript enabled or does not appear to support enough features of JavaScript to be used well on this site. share. However, if you do choose a country that is not among the select four, you’ll not be able to access the eShop, which pretty much defeats the purpose. And we’re not talking about an extremely limited one like in South Korea (where only download codes can be used), but a proper one … Nintendo Hong Kong sent out a press release today announcing that Nintendo Account support will finally arrive to the HK region Nintendo eShop on April 3, 2018.
Buy you may Contact Nintendo to make sure if it’s the case. But I recommend to ask your little brother which region he’s use for his Nintendo Account first. Any pending input will be lost. You cannot add a new comment while editing or replying to an existing comment
Nintendo eShop Card can be used in conjunction with Wii U, Nintendo 3DS series. This is helpful because there are a lot of games in the Japanese eShop that aren’t available in the eShop for The Americas. )After you have placed the order, you will receive email from Nintendo telling you that the order have been completed.
