Eventually, Eames is offered the position of Captain....with the understanding that she must fire Bobby.She fires Bobby and then turns the position down...and leaves her badge and gun on the Captains desk....calling the Chief and telling him that she won't be taking over.She wanted to be the one to fire Bobby b/c she felt he would take it better coming from her. If you claim he's the best, especially when his performances have had no critical recognition, then you have to back it up with more that "don't threadcrap".
