We are huge Liquid Sky fans and we had very high hopes for the Blu Ray restored version and our expectations have been far far exceeded - they have done a superb restoration job - the movie now is so much brighter and clearer - it looks fantastic - it’s like a whole new movie and it makes the original DVD we have look dreadful - the sound is better - it’s much easier to follow - the restoration is amazing - I give it 20 out of 10

In the extras of this DVD there’s some nice extras for those keen on the film, including interviews, lots of rare photos and rehearsal footage.

This cult movie was a mark at my late teens. The only "Art House" style films I had seen were in film class - and not many of those. It still deserves to be seen. Seinerzeit nur im Off-Kino und im Original mit Untertiteln zu sehen gewesen, zeigt sich subkulturelles Avangardetum der New Yorker Szene, denen hier ein Alien auf den Leib rückt, dass sich von Orgasmusenergie (Orgon) ernährt, die ja gern auch 'der kleine Tod' genannt wird, hier aber zum großen Tod derer führt, die sich der Protagonistin in solcher Absicht nähern, während sie selbst nach einem Ausstieg aus dieser Szene sucht, in der sie sich konsequent (auch als Sexualobjekt) ausgebeutet fühlt und natürlich spielen hier auch die Drogen der Achtziger ihre Rolle und überhaupt erinnert das ganze Szenearium etwas an das Ed Wood Schaffen, wäre er unter anderen Zeiteinflüssen zu Werke gegangen.
